The Mercedes-Benz Magic Vision Control system uses special wiper blades with tiny, laser-cut holes that spray washer fluid right in front of the moving wipers. In this system, there’s no windshield washer nozzle fixed on the hood or the car windshield. Instead, the water is sprayed right from the tiny holes in the wipers. This gives a clear view without the usual splash that blocks your vision for a moment, like in most cars. The system also uses less fluid and reduces mess on the windscreen while driving at high speeds. To work well in cold weather, the fluid tank, pipes and even the wiper blades have a heating function.
This system works collaboratively with the rain-sensing Mercedes-Benz windshield wipers, which turn on automatically when it starts to rain and change speed based on how heavy the rain is. If the front wipers are on and you shift into reverse, the rear wiper also turns on by itself.
